Imagery, originally collected by NOAA for charting purposes, provide a fundamental framework for research and management activities along this part of the Massachusetts coastline, show the composition and terrain of the seabed, and provide information on sediment transport and benthic habitat. Interpretive data layers were derived from multibeam echo-sounder and sidescan sonar data collected in the vicinity of Quicks Hole, a passage through the Elizabeth Islands that extend in a chain southwestward off Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  In June 2005, bottom photographs and surficial sediment data were acquired as part of a ground-truth reconaissance survey.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.7330264d-9cd8-4d53-9bbe-ec2a0ee43771.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2006/1357/html/catalog.html", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_7330264d-9cd8-4d53-9bbe-ec2a0ee43771", "keyword": ["NOAA", "United States", "Shapefile", "Woods Hole Science Center", "Moraine", "geospatial datasets", "WHSC", "Shipwrecks", "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration", "North America", "Coastal and Marine Geology Program", "U.S. Geological Survey", "Open-File Report 2006-1357", "Massachusetts", "Trawl Marks", "USGS", "CMGP", "sea-floor characteristics", "New England", "Interptetations", "U.S. East Coast", "Sand waves", "Elizabeth Islands", "NOAA Survey H11076", "Quicks Hole", "H11076", "oceans", "Atlantic Ocean", "Anchor Scars", "geoscientificInformation", "USGS:7330264d-9cd8-4d53-9bbe-ec2a0ee43771", "marine geology", "Low backscatter", "Field Activity Number 05007", "Cape Cod", "scientific interpretation"], "modified": "2021-11-16T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-70.878755, 41.408646, -70.803233, 41.485006", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Interpretations of Bottom Features from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Survey H11076 of Quicks Hole, MA (H11076_INTERP.SHP, Geographic)"}
