They based the AK GeMS multi-map design on the earlier single-map version (Hendricks et al., 2024) and optimized it to manage large volumes of data and support multiple geologic map products. DGGS consolidated individual map data into an enterprise-level geodatabase and periodically exported date-stamped file geodatabase snapshots. They packaged these snapshots using their standardized GeMS data format to ensure consistency and usability. Hendricks and others.
