This is a subset of the October 2022 edition of the Alaska General Land Status, filtered to include only records that are ANCSA SELECTED Land (NATSEL) or Land selected by CIRI (CIRISEL).Provide consultants, planners, resource managers from state, municipal and federal agencies, as well as the private sector, a section level indicator of land ownership for the State of Alaska. Actual ownership of any land should be verified using legal documents such as contracts. leases, etc. and/or Master Title Plats (federal land), Status Plats (state land), or municipal/borough plats. Land ownership and status records used to create this coverage are extracted from two major sources: Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR). This coverage uses data extracted from BLM's records, stored in Alaska Land Information System (ALIS) on October 04, 2022; and ADNR's land records stored in the Land Administration System (LAS) on October 07, 2022. Procedures used: Current BLM case type, case status and land status information is used to classify data extracted from federal land records which is stored in an Informix based system known as the Alaska Land Information System (ALIS). Questions about the data contained in ALIS should be directed to the Federal Public Information Center located in the Federal Building, Room 148 in Anchorage, Alaska. The telephone number is 907-271-5960 (TTY - 907-271-5969). A routine has been established and refined over time to extract selected data and output it in a predefined format. The resulting flat file, which contains 1 record per transaction, is placed on a UNIX platform and compressed. The program ran by BLM to extract lands status data for DNR is known as DNRDUMP. BLM's Division of Support Services, Branch of Information Technology Services, Application Services Section (AK954), processes the data. ADNR staff then copy the compressed file to working space on their Windows based network and import the records into an Oracle table. ADNR's data is accessed from the Land Administration System (LAS) data warehouse. Case type, case status, land status is used to select and classify data. A third source of data used in the compilation of this feature class is a section level dataset which contains established attributes of the Conservation System Units within state. BLM and LAS data are processed by ADNR using Oracle PL/SQL. The primary program is: UPDATE_GLS_MTRS. This program reads the section level BLM and LAS data, and using secondary tables BLM_STATUS_VALUES and DNR_STATUS_VALUES which contain information to classify BLM and DNR case types, populates a table with one observation (many attribute columns) per section. This primary table, or subsets of it, are then written out in ArcGIS geo-database format to produce the following feature classes: gls_202210_as - Complete contents of processing table, containing all attributes with PLSS section geometries. gls_202210_a - Contains all attributes in processing table with false section boundaries dissolved. gls_202210_ac - Contains all attributes in processing table, geometries dissolved and clipped to Alaska coastline. gls_202210 - Contains subset of attributes in processing table with section boundaries dissolved. gls_202210_c - Contains subset of attributes in processing table, geometries dissolved and clipped to Alaska coastline.
