Older versions will no longer be available and are superseded by Version 11r.\n\nThe Orbiting Carbon Observatory -3 (OCO-3) was deployed to the International Space Station in May, 2019. It is technically a single instrument, almost identical to OCO-2.\n\nThe Orbiting Carbon Observatory is the first NASA mission designed to collect space-based measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide with the precision, resolution, and coverage needed to characterize the processes controlling its buildup in the atmosphere. \n\nThe OCO-3 incorporates three high-resolution spectrometers that make coincident measurements ofreflected sunlight in the near-infrared CO2 near 1.61 and 2.06 micrometers and in molecular oxygen (O2) A-Band at 0.76 micrometers. The three spectrometers have different characteristics and are calibrated independently. Their raw data numbers (DN) are delivered correlated in time to the Level 1B process as Level 1A products. Each band has 1016 spectralelements, although some are masked out in the L2 retrieval.\n\nThis L1B product results from calibration mode measurements (e.g., Lunar,Solar, Dark observations), and thus it differs from the OCO3_L1B_Science(L1bSc) product. The differences in the product formats are only in the geolocation information provided. Whereas the L1bSc products report geolocation data for each sounding, calibration products report the directionof the boresight vector. This is the retrospective processing where the calibration data is estimated from the full timeseries of data (before, during, and after the measurements), and is expected to be of slightly higher quality.\n\nThis is the retrospective processing where the calibration data is estimated from the full timeseries of data (before, during, and after the measurements), and is expected to be of slightly higher quality.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "downloadURL": "https://docserver.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/public/project/Images/OCO3.jpeg", "format": "JPEG", "mediaType": "image/jpeg", "title": "Get a related visualization"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Access the dataset landing page from the GES DISC website.", "downloadURL": "https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/datacollection/OCO3_L1B_Calibration_11r.html", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "This dataset's landing page"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "OCO-3 Data Quality Statement", "downloadURL": "https://docserver.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/public/project/OCO/OCO3_L2_DQ_Statement_v10.pdf", "format": "PDF", "mediaType": "application/pdf", "title": "View documentation related to this dataset"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Use the Earthdata Search to find and retrieve data sets across multiple data centers.", "downloadURL": "https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search?q=OCO3_L1B_Calibration", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "Download this dataset through Earthdata Search"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Access the data via the OPeNDAP protocol.", "downloadURL": "https://oco2.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/opendap/OCO3_L1B_Calibration.11r/contents.html", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "Use OPeNDAP to access the dataset's data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "OCO-3 Project Home Page", "downloadURL": "https://ocov3.jpl.nasa.gov/", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "The dataset's project home page"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Access the data via HTTP.", "downloadURL": "https://oco2.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/data/OCO3_DATA/OCO3_L1B_Calibration.11r/", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "Download this dataset through a directory map"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Level 1B Algorithm Theoretical Basis (ATBD)", "downloadURL": "https://docserver.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/public/project/OCO/OCO_L1B_ATBD.pdf", "format": "PDF", "mediaType": "application/pdf", "title": "View documentation related to this dataset"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "USER'S GUIDE", "downloadURL": "https://docserver.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/public/project/OCO/OCO2_OCO3_B10_DUG.pdf", "format": "PDF", "mediaType": "application/pdf", "title": "View this dataset's user's guide"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Subset recipe using OPeNDAP", "downloadURL": "https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/information/howto?title=How+to+download+a+spatial+and+variable+subset+of+Level+1B+data+using+OPeNDAP", "format": "HTML", "mediaType": "text/html", "title": "View this dataset's how-to documentation"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "Level 1B Software Interface Specification containing description of all data objects in data files", "downloadURL": "https://docserver.gesdisc.eosdis.nasa.gov/public/project/OCO/SDOS_SIS_L1b.V7.pdf", "format": "PDF", "mediaType": "application/pdf", "title": "View this dataset's user's guide"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "This software (NASA NTR-49044) retrieves a set of atmospheric/surface/instrument parameters from a simultaneous fit to spectra from multiple absorption bands.
