Flow accumulation based on the relative elevation of each location is used to determine the ridge lines that separate each marsh unit while the surface slope is used to automatically assign each unit a drainage point, where water is expected to drain through. Through scientific efforts initiated with the Hurricane Sandy Science Plan, the U.S. Geological Survey has been expanding national assessment of coastal change hazards and forecast products to coastal wetlands. The intent is to provide federal, state, and local managers with tools to estimate their vulnerability and ecosystem service potential. For this purpose, the response and resilience of coastal wetlands to physical factors need to be assessed in terms of the ensuing change to their vulnerability and ecosystem services. CACO is one of the selected domains to expand this study.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P955K1Y2", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5c62f0fae4b0fe48cb34c883.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5c62f0fae4b0fe48cb34c883", "keyword": ["Outer Cape", "inlandWaters", "Little Pleasant Bay", "United States", "vegetation", "geospatial datasets", "coastal ecosystems", "Wellfleet Harbor", "Barnstable County", "marsh health", "Massachusetts", "Herring Cove", "coastal processes", "Cape Cod Bay", "wetland ecosystems", "environment", "salt marsh", "Long-Term Ecological Research", "USGS:5c62f0fae4b0fe48cb34c883", "Cape Cod National Seashore", "oceans", "Atlantic Ocean", "wetland functions", "LTER", "estuary"], "modified": "2020-08-04T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-70.240881163, 41.603266713, -69.929876024, 42.071513705", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Conceptual marsh units for Cape Cod National Seashore salt marsh complex, Massachusetts"}
