This data release presents results from statistical summaries of the PAD-US 3.0 protection status (by GAP Status Code) and public access status for various land unit boundaries (Protected Areas Database of the United States 3.0 Vector Analysis and Summary Statistics). Summary statistics are also available to explore and download (Comma-separated Table [CSV], Microsoft Excel Workbook (.xlsx), Portable Document Format [.pdf] Report) from the PAD-US Lands and Inland Water Statistics Dashboard ( https://www.usgs.gov/programs/gap-analysis-project/science/pad-us-statistics ). The vector GIS analysis file, source data used to summarize statistics for areas of interest to stakeholders (National, State, Department of the Interior Region, Congressional District, County, EcoRegions I-IV, Urban Areas, Landscape Conservation Cooperative), and complete Summary Statistics Tabular Data (CSV) are included in this data release. Raster GIS analysis files are also available for combination with other raster data (Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) 3.0 Raster Analysis). The PAD-US 3.0 Combined Fee, Designation, Easement feature class in the full inventory, with Military Lands and Tribal Areas from the Proclamation and Other Planning Boundaries feature class (Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) 3.0, https://doi.org/10.5066/P9Q9LQ4B), was modified to prioritize and remove overlapping management designations, limiting overestimation in protection status or public access statistics and to support user needs for vector and raster analysis data. Analysis files in this data release were clipped to the Census State boundary file to define the extent and fill in areas (largely private land) outside the PAD-US, providing a common denominator for statistical summaries.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9KLBB5D", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.61955a0bd34eb622f6908f88.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_61955a0bd34eb622f6908f88", "keyword": ["Bureau of Reclamation", "Iowa (IA)", "Protection Status", "Michigan (MI)", "Nevada (NV)", "Forest Service", "Connecticut (CT)", "Natural Resources Conservation Service", "Tennessee (TN)", "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration", "Kansas (KS)", "U.S. Minor Outlying Islands (UM)", "Parks", "Governmental Units", "Department of Defense", "South Carolina (SC)", "Ohio (OH)", "American Samoa (AS)", "GAP Status Code", "USGS:61955a0bd34eb622f6908f88", "New York (NY)", "Department of Energy", "Public Lands", "2020", "2021", "Hawaii (HI)", "Texas (TX)", "Missouri (MO)", "Biodiversity", "West Virginia (WV)", "Colorado (CO)", "Arkansas (AR)", "Minnesota (MN)", "North Dakota (ND)", "Private Lands", "Federal Lands", "Protected Area", "Guam (GU)", "State Lands", "Wyoming (WY)", "Arizona (AZ)", "Rhode Island (RI)", "natural resource management", "Public Open Space", "Mariana Islands (MP)", "Wisconsin (WI)", "New Jersey (NJ)", "Mississippi (MS)", "Agricultural Research Service", "United States", "U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service", "Florida (FL)", "Vermont (VT)", "Kentucky (KY)", "Public Health", "Land Stewardship", "Local Government Lands", "Massachusetts (MA)", "Land Ownership", "Georgia (GA)", "Alabama (AL)", "Illinois (IL)", "Army Corps of Engineers", "United States Virgin Islands (VI)", "Delaware (DE)", "Montana (MT)", "Outdoor Recreation", "South Dakota (SD)", "Tennessee Valley Authority", "2017", "2018", "2015", "2016", "Idaho (ID)", "Nebraska (NE)", "2019", "2010", "Oregon (OR)", "land use and land cover", "Washington (WA)", "Gap Analysis", "Maryland (MD)", "2013", "2014", "2011", "Indiana (IN)", "2012", "Pennsylvania (PA)", "Alaska (AK)", "Land Manager", "Oklahoma (OK)", "National Park Service", "Virginia (VA)", "Conservation", "California (CA)", "2006", "Louisiana (LA)", "2007", "Bureau of Land Management", "2005", "Puerto Rico (PR)", "New Hampshire (NH)", "2008", "2009", "data integration", "Utah (UT)", "New Mexico (NM)", "IUCN Category", "Maine (ME)", "North Carolina (NC)"], "modified": "2022-07-06T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-180.00, -14.60, 180.00, 71.36", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Protected Areas Database of the United States (PAD-US) 3.0 Spatial Analysis and Statistics"}
