Seismic data collected during this survey can help to define the rates of deposition within the San Juan and Colorado Rivers, which are the main inflows to Lake Powell. These new data are intended to improve water budget management decisions that affect the natural and recreational resources of the reservoir. Multibeam echosounder bathymetry and backscatter data were collected along 2,312 kilometers of tracklines (331 square kilometers) of the lake floor to regionally define its depth and morphology, as well as the character and distribution of lake-floor sediments. Ninety-two kilometers of seismic-reflection profile data were also collected to define the thickness and structure of sediment deposits near the confluences of the San Juan and Colorado Rivers.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5b90140ae4b0702d0e80756d.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P90BU2VS", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5b90140ae4b0702d0e80756d", "keyword": ["inlandWaters", "Bureau of Reclamation", "imageryBaseMapsEarthCover", "Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center", "Bullfrog Bay", "Lake Powell", "United States of America", "multibeam sonar", "T20-P", "geospatial datasets", "Wahweap Bay", "Kane County", "CRSP", "Coastal and Marine Geology Program", "Warm Creek Bay", "multibeam bathymetry", "DOI", "Coconino County", "Padre Bay", "USGS", "BOR", "Halls Crossing", "San Juan County", "Lacustrine Geology", "field activity number 2017-049-FA", "State of Utah", "R/V Stephens", "NPS", "Wahweap", "Good Hope Bay", "Colorado River Storage Project", "lakefloor", "UWSC", "Colorado River", "USGS:5b90140ae4b0702d0e80756d", "bathymetry", "lakebed characteristics", "Glen Canyon", "Utah Water Science Center", "Garfield County", "Department of the Interior", "Navajo Canyon", "GeoTIFF", "geophysics", "Friendship Bay", "Gunsight Bay", "Halls Bay", "Last Chance Bay", "lake floor", "Escalante River", "U.S. Geological Survey", "WHCMSC", "Rock Creek Bay", "Rainbow Bridge National Monument", "Glen Canyon Dam", "elevation", "CMGP", "Bullfrog", "Hite", "Antelope Canyon", "National Park Service", "Dangling Rope", "San Juan River", "State of Arizona", "Glen Canyon National Recreation Area", "geology", "multibeam echosounder", "Great Bend", "geoscientificInformation", "Reson", "Page"], "modified": "2020-08-06T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-111.57278, 36.88445, -110.41513, 37.84086", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Multibeam bathymetric data collected within Lake Powell, UT-AZ during USGS Field Activity 2017-049-FA using a dual-head Reson T20-P multibeam echosounder (32-bit GeoTIFF, UTM Zone 12N, NAD 83, NAVD 88 Vertical Datum, 2-m resolution)."}
