Data available online through the Arkansas Spatial Data Infrastructure (ASDI) at http://gis.arkansas.gov. The subject file contains location information for community colleges in the state of Arkansas. These locations were derived from 2019 Arkansas Department of Higher Education data.
The community colleges layer provides location information and related attributes for use in the Arkansas Economic Development project. It is one of many geospatial variables compiled from FGDC Framework Geodata designed to assist economic developers in Arkansas. This twelve month project was funded by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC). The goal of this project is to demonstrate the usefulness of Framework Geodata in supporting economic development decisions within the Mississippi delta region of Arkansas. The original study area representing twenty-seven counties in Arkansas was expanded due to the availability of statewide datasets.
