Coastal resource managers here and elsewhere are concerned about nutrients that are entering coastal waters via submarine groundwater discharge, which are contributing to eutrophication and harmful algal blooms. CRP is used to measure electrical resistivity of sediments, a property that is sensitive to differences in salinity of submarine ground water. The 2004 and 2006 surveys used floating resistivity streamers of 100 m and 50 m respectively. The depth penetration of the streamers is approximately 20% of the streamer length which translates to approximately 20-25 m with the 100 m streamer and 12-14 m with the 50 m streamer. These data were processed using AGI's EarthImager 2D software.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.90b4c62e-7cea-4b37-9bac-ae8ad384efed.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2006/1169/htmldocs/catalog.htm", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_90b4c62e-7cea-4b37-9bac-ae8ad384efed", "keyword": ["inlandWaters", "United States", "OF 2006-1169", "Woods Hole Science Center", "Salt Pond", "location", "continuous resistivity profiling", "navigational data", "WHSC field activity serial number 04014", "ground-water", "North America", "Coastal and Marine Geology Program", "U.S. Geological Survey", "Massachusetts", "USGS:90b4c62e-7cea-4b37-9bac-ae8ad384efed", "USGS", "CMGP", "Nauset Marsh", "Cape Cod National Seashore", "oceans", "Atlantic Ocean", "geoscientificInformation", "CRP", "Open-File Report", "Continuous Resistivity Profiling", "Cape Cod", "submarine ground-water"], "modified": "2024-03-18T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-69.972617, 41.805483, -69.932583, 41.836283", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "RES2DINV Format Continuous Resistivity Profiles from Cape Cod National Seashore, May 17, 2004"}
