A U.S. Geological Survey cruise was conducted in the summer of 2014 to map the inner continental shelf of the Delmarva Peninsula using geophysical and sampling techniques to define the geologic framework that governs coastal system evolution at storm-event and longer timescales. Data collected during the 2014 cruise include swath bathymetry, sidescan sonar, chirp and boomer seismic-reflection profiles, acoustic Doppler current profiler, and sample and bottom photograph data. Processed data in raster and vector format are released here for the swath bathymetry, sidescan sonar, and seismic-reflection profiles.  More information about the USGS survey conducted as part of the Hurricane Sandy Response-- Geologic Framework and Coastal Vulnerability Study can be found at the project website or on the WHCMSC Field Activity Web pages: https://woodshole.er.usgs.gov/project-pages/delmarva/ and https://cmgds.marine.usgs.gov/fan_info.php?fan=2014-002-FA", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/F7MW2F60", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.4a6cc72f-a35d-4cec-913b-ba232a9b4542.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_4a6cc72f-a35d-4cec-913b-ba232a9b4542", "keyword": ["512i", "M/V Scarlett Isabella", "Fenwick Island", "United States", "Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge", "Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center", "location", "Berlin", "geospatial datasets", "navigational data", "Isle of Wight Bay", "Wallops Island", "Parramore Island", "Bethany Beach", "North America", "Assateague Island National Seashore", "Coastal and Marine Geology Program", "Delaware", "U.S. Geological Survey", "WHCMSC field activity serial number 2014-002-FA", "WHCMSC", "seismic navigation", "trackline navigation", "Cape Henlopen", "USGS", "CMGP", "Esri shapefile", "Delaware Seashore State Park", "Toms Cove", "Chincoteague Island", "chirp", "Ocean City", "Assateague Island", "Chincoteague Bay", "marine geophysics", "Maryland", "Virginia", "Assawoman Bay", "Rehoboth Beach", "oceans", "Atlantic Ocean", "Delaware Bay", "geoscientificInformation", "USGS:4a6cc72f-a35d-4cec-913b-ba232a9b4542", "seismic profile", "EdgeTech SB-512i Sub-bottom Profiler", "seismic reflection"], "modified": "2024-03-18T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-75.567695, 37.538209, -74.687529, 38.430403", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "Trackline navigation for 512i seismic-reflection data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey along the Delmarva Peninsula, MD and VA, 2014 (Esri polyline shapefile, GCS WGS 84)"}
