    Subcropping geology for the Mid-Atlantic Coastal Plain was compiled and interpreted from available published sources. Formation contacts were interpolated across unmapped areas. Inconsistencies in nomenclature, interpretation, and scale were resolved to the extent possible, although some remain because of differences in mapping resolution among different areas.
