    Red Light Camera Citations

    A. SUMMARY The SFMTA’s Automated Enforcement Program uses a network of automated cameras to enforce illegal red-light running and illegal right turns. This dataset is a monthly aggregation of issued citations by intersection and direction.

    B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED All citations are added to a database overseen by SFMTA. This data is aggregated on a monthly basis. During the publishing process, the intersections are geocoded, adding in Latitude, Longitude, Analysis Neighborhood, and Supervisor District.

    C. UPDATE PROCESS This dataset will be updated on a monthly basis. Updates can lag by a month or more.

    D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET Intersections can be listed multiple times in the dataset based on the direction of traffic and turning lanes in some cases.
