    • Raw side-scan sonar data relating to Chena River habitat mapping in 2022

    Raw data files downloaded from from a side-scan sonar unit (Humminbird Helix 15) generated while conducting transects throughout the lower Chena River to create a substrate map in 2021 and 2022. Files with .SON extension contain 8-bit sonar data. Files with .IDX extension contain indices of successive pings in the Humminbird SONAR file. Files with .DAT extension contain information about the sonar, time, position, and sonar settings.

    Each download from the side-scan sonar unit was labeled with a R000## schema and is associated with a single day of scanning. All .SON files have an accompanying .IDX, .DAT, and .DAT.Options files for a given download.
