    • NEFSC Southern New England Bottom-Mounted PAM Audio Data

    Passive Acoustic Monitoring data collected in Southern New England waters (offshore of MA and RI). This project is a combination of several efforts to collect baseline information, including: 1) Cox's Ledge with primary goals for monitoring Atlantic Cod spawning grounds, then for long term monitoring ahead of offshore development and; 2) Nantucket Shoals with primary goals for monitoring NARWs in Southern New England ahead of offshore energy development. Data collected in this area are from bottom mounted passive acoustic recorders, with number of sites changing as research questions and needs shifted over the years. Initial data collection on Cox Ledge was a collaboration with multiple partners including BOEM, NOAA GARFO, Massachusetts Department of Marine Fisheries, The Nature Conservancy, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and SMAST.
