    Directory of Public Authorities Data Lens

    The Authorities Budget Office is required by Section 6(b) of Public Authorities Law (PAL) to maintain a comprehensive inventory of state and local authorities. Section 6 (j) of Article 1, Title 2 of PAL gives the Authorities Budget Office (ABO) the power and duty to develop a comprehensive definition of public authorities, including a consolidated listing by class and name. Please refer to the Overview document for a detailed description of the four types of authorities: State, Local, Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and Local Development Corporation (LDC).
