File includes the Disadvantaged Community (DAC) Census Data layers used in the DAC Mapping Tool at: https://gis.water.ca.gov/app/dacs/.
The source of data is US Census American Community Survey: 2012-2016.
Zipped file includes data for the following US Census Geographies: Census Places, Tracts, Block Groups.
Notes:
1) The statewide median household income (MHI) using the Census American Community Survey (ACS): 2012-2016 dataset is $63,783 - thus, 80% and 60% of that value represents the DAC and SDAC thresholds, respectively. Therefore, a community where the MHI is less than: a. $51,026 meets the DAC threshold b. $38,270 meets the SDAC threshold
2) Both DAC datasets (2012-2016 and 2014-2018), include a "0" value in the "Median Household Income" (MHI) field where data are not available (i.e., not published by the US Census).
