    The 19th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) was held from April 30 to May 2, 2014, in New Orleans, LA. Each day featured a plenary session on a specific topic. The day two plenary featured the presentation, "Why, When We Know So Much, Do We Do So Little? Overcoming Early Childhood Adversity," by Howard Spivak, M.D.; Nadine Burke Harris, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P.; and Larry Adelman. Additionally, Parents Anonymous® and the National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds presented awards.
